Organised in partnership with Indonesia’s Airlangga University the second QS Subject Focus Summit on Medicine concluded successfully in Surabaya, Indonesia, having been attended by 114 delegates from 37 institutions in 10 countries.

The Summit started on Wednesday evening with a traditional Welcome Dinner featuring local culinary delights and traditional dance. The dinner’s opening addresses were delivered by Universitas Airlangga Rector Professor Muhammad Nasih and by QS Branding & Conferences CEO Ms. Mandy Mok. The opening keynote address was delivered by the Indonesian Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education’s Director General of Human Resources Professor Ali Ghufron Mukti, who highlighted the rapid rise in academic output by Indonesian universities and reforms taking place in the medical education sector.
