In a Nutshell

Contemporary Schools of Dentistry are complex organisations which are expected to deliver excellence in research, education and patient care. Balancing these demands with economic realities, changes in patient expectation, and rapid advances in technology poses tremendous challenges, which academic leaders face on a daily basis. A further dimension is now being added by the internationalisation of not just dentistry research, but also in dentistry education and the patient population.

With these challenges in mind, the organizing committee has identified three conference tracks:

Track 1: Innovative Education in Dentistry
Track 2: Future Professionalism for Humanism
Track 3: Leading Edge Research fostering dental-medical scientists

By bringing together senior leaders from schools of dentistry and other important thought leaders around these themes, the Summit provides a platform for the sharing of new ideas and best practices about dental school management, as well as a unique opportunity for networking and dialogue. The aim of the Summit is to foster a shared understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing dentistry education and to support the articulation of a practical vision to move the field forward.

The successful management of the abovementioned areas is the key to a department’s long-term success, including its performance in the QS World Rankings by Subject.

Organised in collaboration with Kyung Hee University, and held in Seoul, Korea, the Summit is also the perfect venue to expand and strengthen your personal and institutional network with other departments and selected public sector and industry partners from Korea, Asia and beyond.
